To get the ball rolling, we thought we would post a little information about our 1999 Solar Yellow Dodge Dakota R/T. After looking a couple months for a v-8 powered regular cab 4x4 Dakota, we stumbled across what we were looking for. Sitting on the front row was 5 Dakota's including a black 4x4. After talking to the salesman he explained that they had a couple more 4x4's on their storage lot.

When we reach the lot I could not believe my eye's. Over 30 Dakota's, most dealerships we visited had a maximum of 4 or 5 Dakota's. The salesman pointed out the 4x4 he wanted us to look at, it was a good looking truck.

Sitting next to the truck was a bright yellow 1999 R/T. I asked the salesman about the truck, he said he did not know much about as it just come in a few days earlier. The salesman ask us if we wanted to take the 4x4 for a test drive. The wife an I talked it over and told him to get the keys to the R/T. This guy thought we were nuts, he just got done explaining how the R/T would make a perfect truck for a young person. I agreed that it was a little flashy for a couple of old persons like ourselves. We are long term Dodge fans and have owned many fast mopars over the years. Including our favorite a 1972 Dodge Charger Rallye with a 440magnum, 4-speed. Between the wife an I, we have owned over 20 different mopars.
